I think it's a good thing. Let people who love each other be together regardless of what society deems morally right. It's nobody's business to decide how two people should live their lives.The government shouldn't be allowed to tell people whether they should marry or not. Marriage is a religious thing, a union between two people shouldn't be based on Christian fundamentals.

gay people are people too, why can't they commit their life to someone they love just because that person happens to be of the same sex.
sure, they can have a ceremony for a "marriage" that won't be seen in the eyes of the law, but there are still benefits to being legally married like filing taxes jointly, or being able to share the same insurance plan, or sharing a bank account with both names on it, or being able to take the last name of your spouse legally.
why can't they enjoy those benefits also?

I think that there are more important issues than gay marriage... nobody gets upset when a guy and a girl get married, and nobody makes such a big deal about it, so why should it be a big deal if a guy and guy or a girl and girl get married? It's stupid, people should stop making a big fuss, let people get married to whom they choose, and get on to more important issues in America.

I am against it. It is a sin to be gay. I don't think they have the right to get married or have kids. If they want to have the same rights we do they need to marry the opposite sex and be normal and healthy. It is a gross and dirty lifestyle choice. I will not allow my kids to be gay. They will be taught that is a choice and that the choice is wrong!

Absolutely not!! It is immoral and not only that, it opens the pandporas box of everyone wanting marriage legalized between people and animals, men and goldfish, women and their BMW's.......you get the picture. Marriage is between a man and a woman for procreation.....that is how God intended it. Period.

I think it sucks. Gay marriage? Didn't God make a man and then realize he needed a companion? I don't remember the Bible saying he gave Adam a male companion. He gave him a Female (Eve). Its fowl and incorrect. It is also a sin (that's the worst part).

Not a very good idea. Gays should undergo psychological treatment as i beleive humans are born to be attaracted towards opposites!!

im not sold totally on it yet.. need more insite, i want to see more gays treat a relationship more seriously, its a long term commitment. i have gay friends but i see alot jumpin from person to person alot or addin othas in the mix.

I think it should be legalized. Who am I to say who can and cant get married? It's up to them.
