If you have only been using Answers, just do what your first answerer said, and stop signing in. If you use other Yahoo services, though, (email, music, etc) they will also cancel. You would have to create a new account, and not use Answers at all.

Stop signing in and it should cancel after a certain amount of time.

its linked to your yahoo account, if you really want to get rid of it cancel the yahoo account.

You can cancel your entire Yahoo account

or you can just disable all contact options in your answers profile and quit using Answers!
