It was 1978, and it was a classical album of Aaron Copeland -- Fanfare for the Common Man.
And it was a big, round pvc disc that was black and to play it I had to put it on a turn table and put an arm with a needle on it....
Backstreet Boys are just kids......how can that have been soooooo long ago??!

Well I had Shawn Cassidy's album ( I think he only made one ) bought for me when I was 5-along with the single "Heart of Glass" by Blondie.
My first actual purchase : The Rocky Horror Picture Show Soundtrack when I was 11.
What a little freak I was/am.

Not entirely sure but I think it was either Spirit of 67 by Paul Revere and the Raiders or The Worst of Jefferson Airplane. This was waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the dark ages (60's)

Oh God, I think I had to sneak and buy Lil' Kim's "HardCore" cassette tape because of her seductive pictures and the Parental Advisory sticker on it. That probably was the first tape I purchased, I really can't remember though. That was like '96 so I was about 12 or 13 and living under really strict parents.
