my guess is 12 seconds, bcoz 5 intervals to strike 6, twice as many to strike 11

Thought about it!
It should take 11 seconds to strike 11 at the given rate.
But to strike 11, it may take just 6 seconds as time allotted for strinig is the same for any number of strikes!
No strikes if the clock has stopped in between 6 & 11 a.m! Another possibility.
Anyhow, taking more than 6 seconds for striking is not desirable.

I don't think we can know that for certain without actually having the clock and timing it. I have a very old pendulum clock and the length of each strike varies as does the amount of time that it takes the sound to stop. It has been influenced in the past by the vibrations caused by a passing train . My best guess would be 12 seconds

11 secs, the fact it's striking 6 times at 6 o'clock is not the issue, it's striking at the rate of once per sec.
