The simple fact is that society in general is ignorant of the facts surrounding crossdressing. More and more medical technology is discovering that this is something that people are BORN with as is evidenced by the discovery of the hormone wash theory which occurs at the end of the first trimester of pregnancy. Also, along with the advances in DNA knowledge it has been determined that certain people have what has been described as "studdering genes" which are directly linked to transgenderism. It is much easier for society to belittle and criticize those things which they don't understand than it is to take the time to educate themselves to the facts. Surveys indicate that approximately 90% of all crossdressers are heterosexual - about the same as that of the population in general. Therefore, the myth that crossdressers are gay is without reason but is widely believed by the uneducated.

It is also interesting to note that there is no biblical mention of crossdressing with the singel exception of Deut 22:5 which is one of the books of the OLD testament which was made null and void when Christ was curcified. It was replaced by the NEW testament under which we live today and within which there is no mention of crossdressing. Even so, Deut 22:5 must be taken out of context if one is attempting to use it to condemn crossdressing and if that is done then all the other parts of the same book would necessitate the same. Since many passages in the book condone acts which are acts of violence against others, even if it were applicable in today's society there would be many individuals who would be imprisoned for life if they attempted to apply these principals.

To some they dont understand it so they feel uncomfortable/weirded out by it so that why they may become uptight. I don't have a problem with it, if people weren't afraid of being themselves everything would be so much more fun & original.

People should be able to dress in what they feel comfortable in. Cross dressing is like the bird kingdom where the males wear the pretty colors. Just let people be who they are and get on with your own life.

I don't get the big hang up with cross dressing. A cross dresser is hurting no one, they just feel more comfortable in other clothes. People should not be judged by the clothes they wear, it should be about that persons personality.
