What have you promised her? Do you live together? Did you make prior arrangements in case this situation arrived? People who have no consideration for others usually end up in this position. Mature people make these decisions before they end up in bed. I don't know how old you are,but if she is truly in love with you, you need to let her down gently, with a serious conversation, without letting her think the conversation is going to include a proposal of marriage. Do not include a candlelight dinner for two, but, make arrangements to have a serious talk about your relationship, because you are having a problem. Then set a time and be on time. She will probably already know what is coming. Whatever you do, no matter if she shouts or cries, be calm, and remorseful. But, never tell her you have another girlfriend. That is the most devastating act of cowardness to any woman. Always, before going to be with another woman, break it off with the first. Or you are just another louse!

Openly and honestly. Don't string her along as suggested by some posters telling her you need time to find out if she is the one. Tell her the truth: I don't love you as much as you love me and it's not fair to either one of us to stay together then make a clean break with the girl. Don't hang around like a hover disc trying to be friends. It will only prolong the break up for her and/or mislead her into thinking you will be getting back together. If a clean break seems too harsh, re-examine your options before you break up.You don't break up with someone because you are angry or you want to go with someone else for a while. If you like her and are still attracted to her and she loves you and you are still hoping to have sex with her now or in the future, then dude, that's a girlfriend and you should not break up with her.

If you are certain that she loves you I would think twice about dumping her. Love is the only real magic in this world and it does not come often or to everyone. Make certain you are not hastily making a decission you might come to regret....for the rest of your life.
Now that said, if you really feel you must dump her, then just tell her so and the sooner the better. Don't try to let her down easy, just be kind and honest. Explain your reasons and say you are sorry things turned out this way. Be prepared for tears or anger both of which you got coming you sorry bastard.

You have no idea how hard it is to find someone who loves you.
You may be giving that up to pursue other interests, and I'm not sure, but I DO know that you will live to regret it later.
If you are intent on splitting up, do it on a Friday so that she has the weekend to regroup, and don't call her or take her calls. No friends with benefits, either. That's just going to hurt her more.

If she loves you, why would you break up with her? Or is that the issue? You want to break up with her because she loves you? Are you scared of love? Ask yourself why you want to break up with her and then ask your self if it is a worthy enough reason. Then, you'll know what to do.
Good luck

Slowly show her how bad of a boyfriend you are to her, explain your feelings to her and tell her that you'll always be her friend and that you'll be there for her when she's down or in trouble and you'll even find someone better for her. u kno, sappy stuff like that. hehe

If you no longer care for her in that same way, then be honest. Tell her you want to be friends but that is all. It is always best to be honest with each other.

point and laugh at them every chance you get. tell people they make love to trees...and always tell others that you caught that person dancing alone to Kenny G. That will get rid of her.
