my furnace suddenly stopped working. when i go to bleed it nothing comes out. yes it has fuel

it's a oil furnace. i need it for hot water

If it's an oil furnace and it won't bleed, it's the filter. If it's not the filter, there is a shut off valve on the tank before the filter. It's there so it will shut off the fuel when there's a fire. That could be the problem, too! Be sure it hasn't tripped.

Also be sure there is fuel in the tank!!!

What type of furnace. LP or Nat ? The problem most likely would be a gas valve not opening. And why are you using your furnace in August ?

May be the vent cap that lets air into the tank as the fuel level drops.

Try loosening it for now, and check again.
