Its a bit dicey since 2003. They are VERY iffy about young people in pubs in Ireland. But usually if you keep the head down they don't get too technical. The problem is the the police collar the pub landlord if they find juniors and the landlord can lose his licence

The legal drinking age in Ireland is 18. With that being said, I don't remember anyone checking for IDs in some of the smaller pubs, and there were teenagers that were obviously younger than 18 that were drinking achohol.

Unless you look really young for your age you'll probably get away with it. 18 is the age of consent. In england, youre allowed to have beer or cider with food in a pub when youre 15, maybe something like that applies there too (it will in northern ireland, obviously). But I think they're more laid back than we are. Have fun.

I'm not sure what the legal drinking age is in Ireland. But I would think twice before I drink (anywhere) too young!

Yeah, it's legally 18 - but if they don't ask...
I think things are a bit more strict in Dublin, but if you're out in the country it's a bit more relaxed. Well, I remember seeing some drunk 14 year olds...
But in Dublin I went to a lot of places that didn't let you in unless you were 22, simply because they didn't want any young trouble makers around...

you canot drink beer in Ireland unless you are 18 and older.Childern may stay in the bar with an adult(no beer)until around 9pm to 9.30 pm

Depends on how young you are. =P
Legal drinking age varies from country to country. When I visited England.. I believe the age was 15 or 16.

You can drink alcohol in a bar if you are 18.
