I have a turle whom I just found out was a salt water turle. It's a female and I've had her for 7 years. When changing her water she stays near me and comes running to me if I wiggle my finger for her to come. She is used to me feeding her. Will she survive back in the wild? She not afraid of people but, she knows who I am.

If you've had it for 7 years, probably not... Odds are its immune system would never be able to handle life in the wild. If you've had her for 7 years and she's still in apparent good health, I'd say you must be doing something right. What kind of turtle is it? The only saltwater turtle I can think of is a sea turtle... If you want to give it proper care that you can't provide, you could try contacting local facilities that might be interested in her, but setting her free would probably be a death sentence.

? Sea turtles (salt water turtles) do not live for 7 years in captivity in fresh water.

Your first job is to figure out what you really have.

You can describe it to us, or check out a gallery like http://www.tortoise.org
