I get that sometimes. Unfortunately, what you describe sounds like an ear infection. The only remedy is to have a Doctor prescribe antbiotics.

Sore throat and earaches are both linked with each other, therefore if you solve one the other one goes away automatically. I think the best way to deal with these symptoms is to clean your ear (make sure there is no bleeding...if yes, go see a doctor), apply oil to clean deep in(not just any oil...a special kind, do a little research), and take some Ribintonsion (spelling error) DM for sore throat or you could take a cough drop if that works.
Hope it works!
Take care

Do you have a fever with the sore throat? If so, the fever is a response to the bacteria in the throat. Raising your body temperature will kill the bacteria, that's why your body produces a fever. Drink lots of hot liquids. Take a steaming hot bath. Then wrap neck in scarf and jump immediately into bed. Turn up the heat and force your body to sweat it out for the whole night. In the morning, you should feel much better. This always works for me, especially when I catch it early.

For your earache, apply intermittent pressure on the first knot of your little finger and all three knots of ring finger from the finger joint for 15 minutes thrice a day. You will observe severe pain on your fingers while giving pressure but applying pressure daily will make the pain to vanish within two days. Put white onion juice into your ears. This will help to treat infections in the ears. Boil 100 ml mustard oil adding 20 gram garlic pieces and when garlic pieces become charred, filter the oil and store in a clean glass bottle. Make a habit of putting this oil into your ears once a month to avoid further complications.

In support of your sore throat, add little salt in hot water and gargle thrice a day. Also, add 5 black pepper corns, 2 cloves whole, a small piece of cinnamon stick, a small piece of ginger, 7 basil leaves and put them together in 200 ml water to boil. Drink hot like soup thrice a day until you feel better. Chew a piece of clove after each meal. In case of severe sore throat, take one tablet of Erythromycin/500mg twice a day for 5 days to get complete relief. hair dryer on a low setting blowing warm air into your ear (don't burn yourself by keeping it too close)

take some aspirin or tylenol, drink a warm cup of tea (as warm as possible)

you should go to the doctor too. If it's a "severe" earache, chances are you'll require antibiotics.

Take some decongestants and go to the doctor. If your earache is severe you probably have an ear infection.

You may try gargling with a mild solution of salt and water, and for the earache, a couple of drops of slightly warmed glycerin oil in each ear and then plug them with cotton.
