Question for girls only?

Help me settle an argument between me and my dad. I am 15

He says the jeans I like to wear are too tight and send a bad message to guys. I am very embarrassed that he is even saying that. But all girls my age at school dress like this.

I have 5 pairs of jeans and all are pretty snug but are dark and nice looking: 1 Glo, 1 American Eagle, 1 Express, 1 Citizens of Humanity, 1 Seven for all Mankind

get them a size bigger because he is probably right. So many teenage girls wear their pants too small and its gross to see all their fat compressed, and poking out the top. Its also better to give your body some breathing space because it cuts down on body odor

First he is your Dad and what he says goes. Unfortunately slim fitting jeans are the style right now and it's hard to find loose fitting jeans for girls. Try to come up with a compromise like getting jeans that fit at your waist, no low-riders, buy shirts your Dad approves of. Ask your Dad to go shopping with you so he can see for himself that your options are limited. Also I have a seventeen year old son, he says that the guys pay more attention to low cut shirts than they do the tight jeans because every girl has tight jeans on. Hope that helps.

I would tell him to go out in public and look around(im 14) and tell you if he sees anybody(girls) whos jeans are baggy and all that. All of those jeans are supposed to be very fitted. All ofmine are. And unless u r stick skinny they always will be. That's just the way they are. Guys do not look and talk about your jeans...they have better things to think about on you. Guys wear muscle Tshirts but those dont send us girls a message.

i understand what your dad means too. he probably thinks a guy will start hitting on you or something like that. my dad says that to me all the time and i also don't wanna look horrible at school just like you. even though my dad has issues with it i still wear tight jeans and he's stopped nagging me about it. if your dad doesn't forget about your jeans then wear a looser jeans...kinda loose but kinda tight. if you try to compromise a little bit then that might work.

Compromise. Buy a few pairs of looser jeans that look cute, and alternate between them. He'll feel at least a little better if you're not wearing them all the time.

I know what you mean my dad hates it when i wear clothes like that but heres what you can do just wear diffrent jeans that arent tight and then when you get to a place where you are going change!Or just tell your dad your expressing your sense for style and fashion!! Good Luck!

Your Dad is not mad at you, even if he is yelling and seems mad. He just doesn't want his "Little Girl" to grow up. He is looking at you and trying to prevent any way for you to grow up. Tell him that these pants may be a little tight but this is the style dad. I know you always want me to be your little girl but you have to realize that I am growing up and you need to let me do this. I am wearing clothes I like, and they don't look horrible. Dad please, just think about this? I love you, just let me know I can make my own decions now. I know you love me too, just let me grow up! Hope this helps!!! Good Luck!

Why do you want to be like everyone else?
Your dad is only doing what most parents do.
Sure he doesn't understand today's fashion,
but he's just being protective. Until you move out
and get your own place, those are the rules of the house.

Jeans are jeans. Just wear em. Ask him weather he'd want you to wear tight jeans that cover everything or a micro mini that does'nt cover anything at all.
