It certainly can be, working nights involves completely changing your circadian rythms. If you maintain the schedule thru your days off, the damage is minimal. But night shift workers get into all sorts of health problems, like high blood pressure, depression, digestive difficulties, because they go back to a daylight existance on their days off. I worked for thirty years as a night shift nurse in intensive care, I know, firsthand what changing the circadian is about.

yes, the body is naturally supposed to sleep at night and wake during the day. In this case the body will adjust but you will experience a drunken feeling that after time 5 years or so will become permanent. Its best to sleep at night and not work if you can help it. Dont plan on the nightshift being long term.

I worked nights for thirteen years. I changed over to days four years ago and did not have any side effects. Some people talk a load of bull.

Yes it is... My ex has been working like that for over a year now and he gained weight, his biorythm is completely scrambeled, he doesn't sleep to well and above all he is very crankey and always in a bad mood... really, do it only if u really MUST and u don't have a choice! take care

no its not. There are many people who do that (mainly people who work the night shifts at hopsitals, security, and such). They are still healthy
