To share the printer: Start the computer that the printer is connected to. Click Start, Control Panel. In Classic view, double-click 'Printers and Faxes.' Right-click your printer’s icon and select Properties. Select the Sharing tab. Choose 'Share this printer.' Type in a name for the printer in the 'Share name' field (this is the name that you will be using when you use the other computers/laptop).

Is the other computer using the same version of Windows? If not, then, after you enter a share name, click the 'Additional Drivers…' button at the bottom of the window. Then select the version of Windows that is in the other computer. You will be prompted for the location of the other version’s printer driver. If you do not have the right driver, check the driver disk that came with your printer. If you can’t find this, you can find a driver on the manufacturer’s Web site.

Now you need to let the other computer (laptop)know that the printer is available. On the other computer (laptop), click Start, Control Panel. In Classic view, double-click 'Printers and Faxes.' Click the 'Add Printer' icon (opening the Add Printer Wizard). Click Next.

Select 'A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer.' Click Next.

In the Specify a Printer window, enter the name of the shared printer (from above). If you do not know the name, click 'Browse for a printer.' Click Next.

In the following window, look for the share name that you created. Enter it and click Next.

Mark it as the default printer and click Finish.

Make a wireless network and network your Printer to the desktop, when ever you want to print from your laptop, it will tell the router to tell the PC to tell the printer what to print. It's quite simple.
