You've had some great advice... follow it and in the future, don't take the chance of being without anti-spyware and antivirus software!!
I use Spy Sweeper by WebRoot, and there are scads of great antivirus programs available.

Well, I have to tell you that porno popups and spyware USUALLY originate from opening up e-mail from people whom you don't know. This ESPECIALLY happens if you click on any of the links in those e-mails. It sometimes even happens if you click on the "don't send me any more e-mail" links!
Also, spammers like to get people coming back for whatever they're selling, so if you open and click on a link to a porno site, then they will infect you with a porno virus. So maybe you really did do something--probably just out of innocent curiousity?--that gave your parents some reason to get mad at you. Maybe you did go to a porno site (those things are almost always infected with viruses and spyware, from what I've heard), perhaps because one of your friends sent you the link. Don't worry: Almost everyone does this at first. They usually learn that those sites are gross and that they shouldn't bother with them, even out of curiousity.
Now, I know that my answer is not worth ten points. The other people--the ones who gave the the links for free anti-viruses and free anti-adware and anti-spyware--they've given you the right answer, and the ten points should go to them.
But you really need to listen to my advice too, because it will keep that security software from ever having to be used:
1-NEVER click on advertising links of any kind. (BTW, the MySpace bulletin boards are all infected with infected messages now, so never clock on any links there!!!)
2-NEVER open e-mail from people whom you don't know.
3-Sometimes, you'll get e-mail that LOOKS like it came from a friend, but it's got weird content and links in the e-mail...well, you need to know that there are some programs that go to a person's e-mail address/contacts book, and it reads all of the addresses and send out virus-infested e-mail in the name of that person.! That means that you cannot even trust e-mail that LOOKS like it came from your friends sometimes.
4-And, lastly, if you get an e-mail that says that it's from the security department of your bank or eBay or PayPal--that is almost certainly NOT from them, and you should NEVER answer e-mails like that, or you'll get hit with identity theft--big time!
And if your PC is REALLY messed-up, then sometimes you need to wipe the whole hard drive and then re-install your software and start from scratch. I have friend who clicked on bogus e-mails and porno sites, and that's what they had to do! (Actually, he didn't learn his lesson the first time, so he had to do it at least tiwice!) The viruses on his PC were SO BAD that the anti-virus software wouldn't load!

first how do you know of the infections.
second you might like to try an on line scan and removal at either www.trendmicro.com, www.mcafee.com or www.symantec.com
once your system is clean install the trial of PC-cillin Internet security14 from www.trendmicro.com. this trial is a 30 day trial and it picks up infections other programs don't.
for instance i installed javacools spyware blaster, spybot search and destroy, and spy cleaner gold one of these ended up putting adult links ad-ware on my machine. so avoid those three programs.
