Because there had to be a Star Trek for to inspire the creation of Star Wars, and many fans of Star Trek naturally gravitated to Star Wars to continue the experience of outer space drama.

I just never got into Star Trek. I'm not sure why I like Star Wars.

I like the original Star Trek and TNG and also like all of the Star Trek movies. I don't know why but I have never liked the Star Wars movies.

I like both because I grew up with Star Trek the original series when it was in syndication, and I also grew up watching Star Wars. The only other Sci-Fi movie I like real well is stargate to be honest.

you can understand the plot and there are some real human problems and situations. and I like star wars but hate that bear-alike character.
