tell them that you don't get the benefits of free minutes when you call mobile to mobile. Also you use all the minutes, and u don't have night and weekends free. Tell them a growing girl needs her talking time. If all things fail. use you phone 24/7. Since it's pre paid, they have to keep reloading it. hahaha...good luck!

Pre paid cell phones come with alot of bad qualities and some good ones.

Some of the bad qualities are that it is easy to go over your pre set minutes which will charge your or your parents alot of extra money. Sometimes even a dollar a minute.

Some good ones are that they are easier and can SOMETIMES save you money. But not all the time.

I think your best bet (if your parents also have cell phones) is to get a family plan from T Mobile. I have the one where you get 1000 minutes to share between you and anyone else on your line for about 65.00 a month. And you can also call eachother and not use any of your minutes. So all in all it is a great deal for all of you you!

I really hope this helps you out! My cell phone is my life!

I agree with archer christifori I have a prepaid and pay for it myself because I have a job. If your parents already pay for a prepaid then you still got it good my advice to you is that if you want a regular cellphone with a contract pay for it yourself money doesn't grow on trees. If this is a problem because you talk a lot I suggest getting a net10 phone 10 cents a minute 24/7/365 so you get more for your money it is a prepaid but if your parents wont get you a regular cell net10 will give you more minutes than some other prepaids out there good luck!!

I gotta go with Archer Christifori...if u wanna persuade em get a job and contribute. Then develop yourself a good credit history. Then exercise responsibility by maintaining it. Your parents aren't living in a cotton candy world and u may not realize the fact that not only are you asking them to add the monthly burden of a phone bill but to also trust you not to put their credit and piece of mind into turmoil. For what? So you can have a "real" phone? What, does your current one have wheels and a string?

Get a job and pay for it myself.
For a teenager, a prepaid is a very good thing.
