Philosophy as such should perhaps have its own rubric here. Maybe even broken down into 'metaphysics,' 'ethics,' etc. I, too, would appreciate a convenient place to go with questions that are 'of a philosophical nature.' But you'll find more-or-less philosophical questions in 'politics', 'women's studies,' 'science and mathematics,' and elsewhere.

Moreover, you can take a philosophical approach to even the most mundane questions. And never mind that you'll irritate the heck out of some readers. That never stops me.

Just for a lark, you might ask a philosophical question in some NASCAR venue. You'll be surprised by what beer-guzzling motorsports fans bring to speculative thinkology.
