For as long as he wants, I should think. Lindy will remain behind the Buffalo bench for the foreseeable future because he has proven himself, again and again. He is now the longest-tenured coach in Sabres history -- and the winningest. He's not going anywhere else, not for a very long time, anyway.
But the Buffalo Sabres are very definitely going places: namely to the Stanley Cup finals -- and this time we will win it all!
LET'S GO BUF-FA-LO!!!

Why do people answer who don't even understand the question?
I can't see Ruff fired anytime soon. For one, he just won the Jack Adams (and don't be bringing up Nolan, totally different situation) for two the Sabres are not hair trigger managers.
Ruff will be around a long time. And I say "Terrific!"

I hope for a long long time and I think he will stay as long as he wants. Players like him and play hard for him. I think he will stay for a while unless something drastic happens in the next few years. He is a great guy. GO SABRES!!!
