As can a rapid and substantial loss of weight. That can cause your period to cease because your hormones that regulate your female functions are concentrated in your fat. Or so I've been told. Happened to me back in the 70s for a few months when I lost a lot of weight. And no, I wasn't pregnant. But that's something you may also want to check.

If your weight is very low, particularly a low body fat percentage, your body goes into a "famine" mode. In order to prevent a pregnancy (which as you are "undernourished" may not be carried to term) the normal reproductive cycle of your body is interrupted & periods may temporarily cease.
As soon as your body weight & fat percentage increases, menstruation will resume as normal.
This can happen to stamina athletes & is very common in anorexics (which is not to suggest you are!).

well anoxesic women don´t have their periods as often as they should. If you take the pill, without stopping between boxes and you can delay you period.
