Let me explain something: I found a pic of her naked online, she did not give it to me, I did not take it or host it, all I want to do is spread the word of: "Look what I found" to everyone I know.

Please dont give me answers based on "maturity" or "grow up" etc. All I want to know is the LEGAL info of what I would be doing wrong? What law would I be breaking if I spread the word that my ex gf is on a adult website?

Gee, after the ex sues you for everything you have and the FBI and police agencies arrest you, I can't see a real reason not to.
What, are you carrying a torch for this woman? Let it go, man and get back to reality! Destroy the pictures before they destroy you! Reality check!

Two issues at hand here: Was she 18 and was the picture legal?

If she was over 18 at the time the pictures were taken, then it is not child pornography.

If somebody had permission to take the picture, and they owned the rights to do whatever they wish with the pictures, then there is nothing illegal about the pictures. If your girlfriend posed for the pics, then she was willing for them to be taken. Odds are that your girlfriend didn't expressively say to not post any pictures on the internet, so there is no legal conflict there.

Most likely, those photos online are perfectly legal.

You must still care about her, or you wouldn't even be asking. You would have just done it out of spite. There is possibly no legal ramification for you per se, as you were not the one to post the original picture. That person would be to blame. Legally speaking, if that picture is already online, it is now public domain. She couldn't prove in a court of law, that you are the one that did it. She can't sue you for libel or defamation, as she pretty much defamed herself, by taking them. Unless you add unflattering words to the post, or talk about her at all. No comments at all about her, and you have not defamed anyone.
However, as I had said, if you didn't still care, you would have just done it already. So reconsider.

Think about it like this. Your ex-girlfriend has friends and her friends have friends. Next thing you know you're getting your azz kicked and you're blacklisted by every girl in town. Don't do it. :)

But legally speaking, if it was available online and didn't have a copyright then it's considered to be in the public domain. However, if she was under the age of 18 then definitely do NOT post it anywhere else online. That would just be asking for a world of grief from law enforcement, time served, permanently listed as a child sex offender and being required to register as a child sex offender anywhere you choose to live.

Well, it is not very nice to do. However, if you own the pictures and they were taken EITHER in public OR with the subject's knowledge (no sneeking into the locker room) they can be posted. Otherwise tabloids would be sued every time they published. Also, if she's under age you could end up in trouble.

I do believe that what goes around comes around.

If she is or was a minor at the time the picture was taken you can get in worlds of trouble.
If of age ,I'm not sure just don't write anything disparaging about her . When in doubt ..don't do it,can save you a world of grief. revenge doesn't taste that well any way .

Legal ramifications only arise if you are proven to be in the wrong. To be safe, go to the library comp., setup a new yahoo account and mail away. Good luck!

Doing so might be an invasion of her privacy. If she decided to have you arrested or sued for invasion of privacy you might have to prove that she gave permission to the initial poster to put the picture of her on line.
