and you car has 420 Horsepower, is it true that you wont use all those horses because the RPM's never get high enough? Does anyone out there have a supercharged automatic?? How is the reponse time when you hit the gas???

There's always a bit of friction in the transmission, so the power that makes it to the ground is a bit less than what the engine's rated power output is. Automatic transmissions often use a bit more power than manual transmissions.

And it's often possible to get the RPM's to go up far enough if you keep the pedal to the metal or shift it manually.

friend of mine has a 91 thunderbird sc 3.8 supercharged. has excellent throttle response. i have driven the car and enjoy driving it.
