can someone please tell me the difference between a geek and a nerd?

A geek is someone that can be taken out of their "Geekieness" , a nerd is a lost cause.
I married a geek and I tormented the nerds when I was in High school. Nerds will never be part of the normal population.
Geeks can be saved.
