First off I wouldn't worry about losing 50 pounds. At 5'7", I wouldn't drop anymore than 35 pounds, which would put you at around 135. You should definitely continue to eat a variety of foods. Fruits and vegetables are very important, as well as carbohydrates. Obviously, stay away from fast food. Also, if you like junk food, eat less of that. Exercise is important too. You should do some type of exercise for at least 30 minutes at least three times a week. Blend cardiovascular exercises with strength training. Try not to obsess about losing weight either.

5'7" is on the tall side. You do not need to lose 50 pounds. If you want to change how your body looks, concentrate on physical activity to strengthen your muscles. This can drop dress size for instance without being unhealthy. Muscle weighs more than fat so throw away your scale before you develop an eating disorder. It's just a number. Exercise. Eat a variety of healthy foods and get off sugar. Maybe look for a job that is physical in nature, like at a gym or plant nursery or horse farm. Go for a walk instead of going online. Concentrate on what is already beautiful about yourself instead of what you don't like!

Start walking each day. Do some crunches and possibly join a gym. Ask a parent or friend to join you. It would be a bonding experience! Drink plenty of water. Eat 5-7 small healthy meals and drink water when you want to snack. Try eating broccoli and salads with little dressing. Cut out pop, pizza, and junk food. It is important to lose weight but if you are tone the weight doesn't matter. If you can't go to the gym to lift, try using canned goods as weights. Push-ups are a great exercise as well as jumping jacks. Try dancing around to lose weight instead of watching tv. You can do it!

If you lose 15 or 20 lbs, you'll be more than great. Your ideal weight would be from 105 to 155lbs. If you go down to 155-150 you will be just perfect. Your height is excellent for a 15 year old. I am 5'3 and 20 years of age. If you really want to lose more than what is required to reach your normal weight, you need to visit your doctor. Otherwise it will put you in danger because 50lbs. is very hard to lose without consulting a doctor.

Please don't try going anorexic or bulemic. I am serious about this. When I was your age, I was anorexic, and went down from 135-140 to 110 in about 3 months. It did work, but you know what it was not worth it. The worst part was that I gained the weight in no time. Anorexia led me to bulemia, and that is worst. Please viist your doctor and talk to your parents about your plans.

Good Luck!!

First of all, make sure that you are losing weight for YOU, not becuase someone else wants you too. That way you will have a better attitude going into this weight loss thing, and with a better attitude you will more likely meet your goal.
Make sure that you know that weight loss does take time...You probably arnt going to lose 50 lbs in 2 weeks. I am saying this, becuase people expect to see immediate results, and when they dont see them, then they get disheartened and give up. Dont give up. Also set a bunch of goal weights....170 to 130 seems like forever! I am trying to lose weight also, and I am setting mine at 5lb intervals....So like set your first goal weight at 165...then 160...and so on and so forth, these little accomplishments will give you the nudge to keep going. Make sure that you dont date the goal weight though...that could be disasterous. Dont say, "kay i am going to lose 5lbs by next friday" becuase if you didnt lose that much, that could make you want to quit too.
Instead of soda's, drink water, sport drinks or diet soda. You know what else is really good? Those crystal lite packets that you put in your water bottle. I buy the generic kind (Walmarts brand), and they are surprisingly good for having 0 calories and 0 sugar.
Cut your fast food intake, and go for fresh veggies and fruits. Also if you wanted you could start a food diary to really open your eyes to what you put in your body. Eat protein with every meal (specially if you are working out), eat 3 servings of dairy a day, just try to go for a balanced diet. Avoid foods that are high in Sodium too.
And as for exersize...joining an afterschool sport works great! I did that for my sophmore year. I joined track, which I really sucked at by the way, but I lost 40 lbs. Now I am graduated and I just gained it all back when i got preg and had my baby, so i am trying to get rid of the pregnancy fat...
If you can, also sign up for P.E. at your school every year..(something that i did too)...
If you dont have access to a gym, home workout videos are great. Also, since you have access to the internet you can go to glamour.com and do their Body By Glamour thing. It is great! It is a 12 week program that you can custom fit to yourself. Also allure.com has an exersize program and I think that seventeen.com has one too. There are so many things on the web nowdays! You sould really check the Body By Glamour thing out...I am thinking about doing it too.
you know, doing every day things will help you lose weight also...Like taking the stair instead of the elevator, parking your car far away from the store in the parking lot so you have to walk, cleaning the house vigorously also! You can make it fun, while you vaccume your living room, put on music and dance around, or get down on your hands and knees and scrub the kitchen floor (you mother will love you for it).
Well that is all I can think of for now! Good luck with your weight loss jouney.

Reduce your food intake and increase your exercise. Drink lots of water and quit eating the pizzas, hamburgers and fries! Also Weight Watchers offers an excellent program.

Instead of snacking on junk food, ask your parents to stock up on fruits and veggies that you like. And maybe try joining some sports after school; perhaps track. Hope this helps.

You don't need to drop fifty, maybe twenty. If you dropped fifty, you'd be too skinny. I'm 5' 2" and I weigh 114, so yeah. And I am most definately not fat.
