Hello, I just got an iPod and I have lots of mp3 files that I want to add to the iPod...how do I do this? My computer is running windows XP, just in case you needed to know...thanks!

go to itunes, go to file, add file to library, and select the songs you want by holding ctrl, the clicking on each song you want, then pressing okay, or add. plug your ipod in, and the songs will be copied to your ipod.

if you have your ipod set to manually add songs, once you have the songs in your library, hold ctrl, click each one, then drag them to your ipod on the left hand side.

Make sure that ur i-pod supports mp3 format audio..(most i-pods do)..but if ur i-pod doesnot support u may b never b able to play it.....Since ur r using xp version...u will automatically be alerted when ur i-pod hardware/usb is linked to the computer....and if ur given any driver software cd with ur i-pod install the disc or u can still download from the respective company side(if ur i-pod is branded)...After that Simply open the hardware window and drag the files from computer to pop-up window.....For safe transfer orf files never disconnect the usb until u completely eject the hardware from the computer..
