Oh! I never thought that an expression 'to go belly up' exists also in English. I heard it only from press as said by one liberal in my country, as a threat for another person, kidnapped during municipal elections. By way, this liberal liked to show his photo with Mr. Bush for our media.

Condie was ordered to leave the region, and to never come back. Foreign policy? What foreign policy? Oh, you mean spending Billions of $ every day over there and hope the problem works itself out.
We are regretfully, too entrenched to pull out now. We are spreading our military forces too thinly over an ever-widening expanse of land, and as new disagreements between more and more countries accelerate to all out war, there will be a point at which we will not be able to be successful at defending the side we choose to help.
We are a hated nation in the world view. If the battles reach our own shores, there will be precious few left to defend us. And it may be left to us citizens to defend our own existence.

We just never learn! We should not try to impose democracy in other nations. Let them adopt whatever type government they want. We have lost so many precious U.S. lives in these failed efforts of Presidents trying to make a name for themselves. We had to suffer through Lyndon Johnson and now George Bush. When will we ever learn?
