Rock. It's actually music....MEANING....they actually play real instruments (not some prerecorded mix from a hyped up keyboard or a record scraping on a player) and they actually sing...(not talk fast & sort of rythymatically). If you don't use actual instruments & you don't actually sing...than it's not actually music! Rock has a wide variety of listeners, because a wide variety of people love it. Rock & Roll will never die.
Rap sucks.
...and to "random middle school kid ". Just the remarks you made is self explanitory of the type of people that listen & perform rap (didn't you say that people who don't like rap "should be shot"?). Ghetto gangsta wannabes who have no talent but found an easy way to rise into the entertainment world....and then once they get there, they buy a mansion in beverly hills...bring down the neighborhood because they can't "really" fit into high society...all they do is talk & rap about what their names & initials are, how much money they make and all the cars they own. They make MTV videos with fat *** women barely clad shaking their cellulite in the camera lenses. Rappers are basically losers who got lucky.
Rockers put hot looking women in their videos and don't have to tell the world how much money they make or what assets they have. They don't have to constantly remind people of their names or initials through their songs. They can sing about things other than banging the ho down the street...how much they hate the cops...how much drugs they sold today...or who on the block got shot last night.

Rock!! is DEFINITELY best! You dont hear near as much bad language, there is a good beat, Mostly rap is just yelling and screaming about the authorities, how bad off they (rappers) have it, and I dont know what all. Keep in mind, that I never said that rap looks easy,.... i am sure that it isnt. But of the two, I would say that RAP is way more RETARDED than Rock. At least Rock lovers can SPELL!

edit: to whoever wrote that "rock is just screaming, and its retarted, rap is a way to express your self, when you are mad, and a way that rappers deal with what they went through, rap is awesome" there are about a million different types of rock. not all of them scream. *uses fall out boy as an example again* pete wentz of fall out boy wrote the lyrics to from under the cork tree and most of them on take this to your grave. those are the most expressive lyrics i have ever heard and without all the "f*** this f*** that" that rap has.
