Don't want to sound too political, but as soon as the majority of americans will realize that the oil-companies have profits of 30billions a year AND are getting breaks on taxes they don't pay, they will probably have gained enough consciousness to also realize that the soaring oil price is not the only reason gas prices rise and maybe they will beguin to look at where the oil comes from and how we are getting it, so in the end, sorry for the long swing, my answer is;
Yes, some kind of revolt, I hope not something big, as unfortunately we are addicted. We could use alternative energy, but not coal like "someone" said. And atomic energy is too risky, as the cost of real security seems to be too expensive for some big industrialized countries compared to the lives that could be erased.

its a tough question to answer... people are already crying out, but really, we're in the technology age, relying on non-renewable energy... gas should be so much more per gallon, really, and thats catching up with us. we didn't learn enough in the 70s during the oil embargo and its time to spend less time making a fuss and more time thinking of alternative energies. no alternative energies are perfect, but they're all steps in the right direction.

I truly hope we do. This is getting out of freaking hand. Paying 3.10 a gallon so some oil man can add another car to his ferrari collection! Pisses me off.

I heard people were boycotting Exxon because they made the largest profit and if they have to compete all companies would have to come down or loose business.
