i'm pretty underweight, and i've been on birth control for 3 months. my doctor said i can go off the pills anytime i want, so i'm not taking them anymore. but i'm wondering, can taking evening primrose oil regulate my period? Do they help you produce more estrogen, or whatever hormones i need for a regular period? thanks! besides evening primrose oil, what else could act as a natural estrogen? thank you very much!

No. the use of estrogen pills comes from an ancient treatment of drinking horse urine for the extra estrogen it has. Ask your local pharmacist for more information.check with The Apothecary located just outside of DC 1-800-869-9160 or The Womens International Pharmacy 800-279-5708. The have websites if you're outside USA. Be warned with "natural "stuff. Some irresponsible companies manufacture bad products full of added junk. Herbal supplements are also controlled by different rules, and has side effects etc. as well. Some of it works, and is wonderful! Some of it doesn't. Check with a registered/certified herbalist. They should help you sort the good herbs from the myths. I've found all sorts that indicate Primrose oil can help pain, fertility, etc, but nothing that says it regulates your proper cycle. As all the other posts suggest; gain weight, check with a medical proffessional, and consulte a certified/registered herbalists. Every body is different, and we cannot diagnose you through a computer. As a health care worker it would be irresponsible for me to make any reccomendations other than "Ask a medical professional" Anything you put in your body will have side effects. So let your Doctor or herbalist know what you are/are interested in putting in your body. They'll help directe your options to things that will work for your unique body.

if your periods erratic, is either because you are starting the menopause or have eating disorder/underweight. as for evening primrose oil, all that does is helps re leave the symptoms of period pains etc, it will not regulate them, go see your doctor an make sure there is not a problem. comming off the pill can slightly alter the pattern but only for a few month, most women dint really notice the change.

I've already answered another version that you posted of this question a day or two ago, but I wanted to just add that the St. Francis herbal formula that I mentioned is called Vitex Combo, and it contains Chaste Tree (vitex agnus castus), Black Cohosh, Dong Quai, Motherwort, Wild Yam, Oat, Lavender, and Ginger. Organically grown.

1) Probably Sydney 2) This freshman Austin. He was super nice. I'm a jr and hes just so sweet. I'm taking him under my wing. 3) Jacob. I hate him. I hope he gets hit by a bus. That whole thing was so ******* stupid. Now you get a story. I've loved him since eighth grade and he knew it. But he had a girlfriend so I didn't go after him because I actually respect peoples relationships. And then about six months ago he kept complaining to me about his relationship problems and he ended up breaking up with her. And then he made it seem like he liked me. And he kissed me. And we were "dating" but we weren't. And then when he wanted to have sex and I said I wasn't ready he left. 4) Sydney, shes a good friend. 5) Kylie. We've known each other since we were kids.

Black Kohosh might work better than evening primrose for someone under weight.
