Rats are the best small rodent pet to get. They are very tame (if you get them from a breeder or reputable pet store), never bite, and very clean and easy to take care of. They come in many different varieties and colors, hairless, even tailless! There are 'dumbo' rats which have ears on the sides of their heads instead of near the top. Their colors are pretty much any normal color and also three different shades of blue. I've had almost every type of rodent there is, including some exotic ones, and rats are still my all-time favorite. For more information, go to my website, www.evergreenrattery.com/careguide.htm

If they have been sold, rethink whatever problem, if there was one, that made it necessary to sell them...before getting another. Make plans to prevent this problem before getting a new pet. Don't choose a pet purposely to annoy your sister or anyone else. Goodwill is always valuable, and you never know when you'll need your sister's goodwill...and annoyance is never valuable. Pestering anyone for the hell of it is a tactic that will come back and bite you at some very inconvenient time.

That said, rats are very cool. With gentle handling and good care, they will be affectionate and responsive. They are smart animals and respond positively to good care and kindness...but nip when purposely annoyed.

I think a chinchilla would be a good rodent pet. They are really sweet and cute. They bark and are nocturnal. They are so cool they bathe in dust and most tend to be ticklish. They don't smell and they are desert animals so they don't drink much. They are just so wonderful and loving and so fascinating. I would recomend that animal to anyone they are so cool.

It is a real shame that you only want pets to annoy others with!
