it's really good. just read it carefully and slowly, because the beauty of it is in the smaller details/comments/thoughts of Holden. some parts i had to reread several times. Holden Caulfield is the main character/narrator, and a very complex character, and since the story is narrated from his perspective, you have to be on the lookout for what is his personal bias, and what is reality. But once again, that's the beauty of his character, he's so well done, that he has biases. It is an excellent book.

Its an awesome book! It's funny and a great story. I've read it several times over the years. I've never had to read it for school though, we never did that book.

I've read it last summer! Actually, I am Russian and may be partly because of this I liked it so much. Most of all I got excited of the language! I strongly recommend it to you. This is a well-written book, that is quite easy to read. I think you will like it.

It's a very, very good book. After reading it, I went through just about every thing else he wrote, "Nine Short Stories", "Franny & Zooey", "Raise High the Roof Beam"....

It is a bit disturbing and interesting and really, really genuine considering, even in its insanity and unfortunate circumstances it is a fantastic read.
Other than that... Im going to say. Do your own homework!

It is, of course, considered a classic, but, having some racy parts, I am surprised you have been required to read it, considering your age and possible lack of maturity.

I thought so when I read it. Can be a bit slow at times, but the storyline is good.
