Yup, crossing your legs can be detrimental, in inhibits circulation and can create such lovely things as varicose veins and blood clots. It's a habit well worth breaking.

Crossing your legs is bad for the circulation in your legs. As you get older it will become even more of a problem, so if you can break the habit now you will be better off.

I've heard that crossing your legs is bad for you because you can develop more of varicose veins. But I think that you already have to be prone to that (family history, etc.).
