RAP IZ AN ARTFORM... POETRY TO MUSIC... Rap is based on lyrics just as much as it is focused on beats. Look at METHOD MAN, NAS, NOTORIOUS B.I.G. - their flow on the mic is UNTOUCHABLE.
Remember when rock was comin out and ****? pll thought that was bullshit, too. TO THE PEOPLE WHO THINK RAP IS CRAP BCUZ PRODUCERS "USE TOO MANY SAMPLES"....... LOOK AT THE ***RZA***, you dumb ****, he made all of his beats FROM SCRATCH.

None of the GOOD RAPPERZ out there are mainstream. The people on the mainstream DON'T STAY TRUE TO THEIR ART (50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, The Game, Ludacris.)
Have you ever even heard of Talib Kweli or KRS-One spit a freestyle verse??? you probably dont even know who these ppl R!!!
Even Method Man is true to the streets and never got lazy with his rhymes, whereas people like eminem did.
But, Before the Slim Shady LP, Em was actually able to spit mad ****.
(I only throw em in here because I was listening to his old freesyles he did in '97... before he went pop... and he was rippin everyone 2 shreads)
But ppl 2day worry too much about record sales. All people buy CDs for, 2day, is the beat. They dont see the talent of the artist. They only go for rhythms... which is why SNOOP DOGG sold MORE ALBUMS, than METHOD MAN... WTF!?!?!?

Man, if you get worked up over something this small, what do you do when your really pissed? I do think rap sucks you can't even turn to any of the music channels without seeing some chick dancing in a bikini, it's not music it's about drugs and alcohol, everything is based upon rap music you can't even watch the music awards its 99.99% rap it sucks. I hate rap and I can't wait until people smarten up and start listening to good music.

i luv rap. a lot of people say its just about sex, drugs, and violence. ex:Ching:Pullin Me Back. that has no sex/violence/drugs. DMX-Lord Give Me A Sign has no sex/drugs/violence. Busta Rhymes-I Love My Chick has no sex/drugs/violence. so i just learned that its music haters out there.
