Because when you eat an egg, it is an UNFERTILIZED embryo. It isn't a baby chick... because the sperm and egg never met... the mama chicken didn't get knocked up.

Well first of all, eggs for human consumption are not fertilized, otherwise there would be chick zygotes in them, which is not the case. Hens lay eggs whether they are fertilized or not....the same way that a women will release an egg and then menstruate.

In turn, the abortion and omelet is not a very good analogy.
