I have to leave my garden. I usually handpick the beetles. My asparagus has been ferned out for awhile but the beetles are all over. I am organic. Dont want to spray. Will these worms kill my next year crop. If I have to treat any suggestions? The worms will skeletonize the ferns if not picked..

Sure can. If you mix a tobacco tea with some alcohol and water and spray them, it will kill them without hurting your plants. Put a few drops of detergent in and it will stick better.

You should learn how to grow an organic garden. My suggestion is to surround your garden with herbs that repel insects and use garlic spray as an alternative to insecticides.

Research is the key. -Don't listen to people that say organic methods don't work: people were farming for 1000s of years before insecticides.
