Logically, it should be, right ? Somehow, just don't feel very right about that. Maybe "-" and "even" don't seem to click. What do you say ?

Yes. If it's divisible by two (without leaving a remainder or fraction), it's an even number, no matter whether it's positive or negative.

Yes. A number is even if it can be divided by 2. So, if you have an integer (positive or negative) and you can divide it by 2 with a remainder of 0, then your original integer is even. Since -6/2 = -3, then -6 is even.

Z represents the set of Integers.
Z= {0,1,-1,2,-2,...}
In modulo arithmetic, when you divide the
"Set of Integers"
by 2 you create 2 partitions.
1 parition has remainder 0
1 partition has remainder 1

This is called modulo arithmetic where you are only concerned with the remainder after the division occurs.
-6/2= 3 with a remainder of 0
-6 is an Integer that falls into the "partition" with a remainder of 0.

an even number is defined as a number that can be expressed as 2n, where n is an integer (positive or negative). So tha would mean that -6 is even, because -6 = 2(-3)

even numbers are those numbers that can be divided by two without leaving a remainder. -6 on dividing by 2 gives the quotient -3 without leaving a remainder. So it is an even number.

Yes, as long a number (and is a integer) is divisible by 2 and the remainder is zero. It is EVEN.

yes - it's even.

the negative symbol just shows where the number rests in relation to 0. it is below 0, so it is negative.

How would u define an even no..............
Let see..........
It is any no which when divided by 2 leaves a remainder=0.
so whether its +ve or -ve does'nt matter........................
I think u understood.................
If u did'nt then let take it this way.................
to find if ano is odd or even let keep it in mode{ |x| } and then divide it by 2.................
eg---------- |2|/2=1
& |-2|=1 { |x | }mode - absolute value} Here x can be any real no.......
Now, what do u say about it ???/
