Only if you have relatives/friends that you REALLY like. I say this because I lived there for six years and it gets awfully wet and dreary during Christmas. It is almost depressing. I'm getting bummed just answering your question. I'd really recommend going elsewhere during Christmas. Save the Seattle trip for summer when it is gorgeous. Good luck!

Seattle during the Christmas season is gorgeous. But be prepared for cold rainy days. We do get the occasional snow storm, but for the most part, it is rainy. Seattle is still beautiful and I suggest if you come over here, take a couple hour drive over to Leavenworth on the East side of the mountains. It's a cute Bovarian themed town that gets a lot of snow and has sleigh rides and all sorts of fun things to do :)

I've been living in the Seattle area for a little over a year now- last Christmas was my first here. I would not recommend it as a Christmas tourist destination. It was very cool and damp, and just didn't feel like Christmas to me.

Sure, I've grown up in WA my whole life, and I spent the last two winters in tropical areas, and it just didn't feel right. Even though there won't be snow IN Seattle, you can get to it really quickly. I love being in the NW in the winter time, just because to me it's how Winter should be, everyones all bundled up, and Christmas decorations and packages everywhere, Christmas music pouring out of storefronts... It just doesn't feel right seeing a Santa clause in the sand by a palm tree and hearing Christmas carols on steel drums or a ukulele.

I agree somewhat with picnpac.
Unless you have friends or relatives here you really want to visit AND you are thinking of spending some time in the Mountains where the snow is, in which case, you will have a great time!!

You can get to the Ski areas / snowy areas in one to two hours depending on which ones you are headed to, and they are gorgeous! Rent a cabin and spend a week in the snow!

Depends on where you are coming from. If you are coming from the Midwest, where it's ZERO degrees and snowy, you might actually enjoy the damp, cold (in the 40's usually) weather here. If you are coming from Cali or the Southwest, you might enjoy it just because you never see rain.
