I avoided the sweeping generality. There are a few intelligent liberals but they are an endangered species in the Democrat Party.

It would seem so. However, just like with the Republican party, the voices that are heard are the ones of extremism. Don't judge all Dem's by the ones we hear most. I sometimes think I'm so sick of crazy liberals that I would vote straight Republican but then I look at the Republican voice the Democrats are hearing, and it's no wonder they think we are crazy, too. So, once again, it's just a matter of finding the quiet, moderate Democrats, who are more like my quiet, non-crazy Republican self. All of the people in the middle should get together and form our own party and get rid of everyone on the fringe. lol

The key word in your question is "IF", and you're way too generous in your follow up with the words "a few intelligent liberals". There is so many contradictions in terms (aka:oxymorons, of which there are an overwhelming percentage of morons in the "liberal movement") within those four words that you ought to be ashamed of yourself as a conservative, but then, we conservatives can forgive one another, so . . . just don't let it happen again, loloololololol.
