I want to download songs from Limewire but I am kinda freaked out about getting sued..what are my chances of getting caught?

If you're worried, just plug in to a WiFi hotspot somewhere or go to an Internet cafe (you can transfer all the stuff on a USB stick). And if you're worried about viruses, get AntiVir Guard or Norton or something.

Don't worry about the virus if you have a good realtime protection of your computer but there is some risk as to fake files though.
I would suggest that you get this little program called gspot codec utility that would check out your files before playing them.
Any music that you download with the intent of your own use and you don't have 20,000 of them that you should be safe.

Your chance of getting caught is not very high at all. I, personally, do not have Limewire, but I know tons and tons of people that do, and they love it. I'm pretty sure the cops aren't coming to get them anytime soon, heh.

As long as you don't store the songs on Limewire you're fine. I use it and I've done alright. They haven't really been searching for people lately anyways.

I've been downloading from limewire for years , no one even knows about it , use a different e_mail !! one with wrong personal info !!just in case

Actually I just deleted Limewire.....and am working to get all the BUGS literally out. Just make sure your anti-virus is up to date and you scan OFTEN!

You can download, and share. And it's all legal! The only time it becomes illegal is when you attempt to make a profit off it. That is a big crime. You can share a musicians works, with yourself and others, as long as you dont sell it. Cool? =)

ya wont get caught i used limewire for like 2 years i aint get caught but u also can get shareza, or kazza i recommed shareza!

ok 1ce u read this it will make u feel better cuz i was reading up on it and "THE ONLY LIMEWIRE IS ILLEGAL IS IF U BURN THE CD/DVD" i was kinda scared at first 2
