First off, if people don't know what the hell they are talking about STFU!!! Anyways.....

You may or may not need a hard drive. Just set up you XBOX 360 for an XBOX Live account and download a patch. The list can be found on the other poster's links.

All you need is a hard drive, and to make sure the game is on the list and it should work, I have a 360 trust me I know what I am talking about!

Most games will work automatically. You won't see any dramatic improvements in performance or graphics though. Check microsoft's xbox website: I saw a list of all compatible games there at one time.

am not sure but i think you would have to have xbox live for it but am not sure.....

NOT ALL ORIGINAL XBOX GAMES WORK!!! THERE ARE ONLY SOME THAT WORK HERE IS THE LINK FOR ALL GAMES THAT ARE COMPATIBLE....

You can't. The company does that on purpose so that you buy all new games. It increases their sales.
