Should it be? I say why not. But it will never become legal.

Why? Because the government can not profit in some way from it being legal. How can you tax something that anyone can grow? And there is no way to regulate it. Alcohol and cigarettes - though both kill more than pot by a long shot - can have some sort of regulation on it, and it can be taxed.

I guess my only fear would be that if pot were legal, how would it stay out of the hands of kids? Yes, kids drink and smoke, but it's not as easy as just walking into your backyard and getting. Pot would be that easy to get. So in that sense, I would say no. But if there were a way to regulate it, I would say make it legal all the way!!

No I do not believe pot should be legal (it's illegal for a reason). It is not going to kill you slower than smoking tobacco (smoking is imparting chemicals that your lungs can't handle, assuming you smoke the pot). We have studied only one chemical THC, out of many and I don't think that gives the FDC enough information to legalize this substance. I would note, however, that it would be a much safer drug if a pharmacist was actually dispensing the THC instead of an illicit pot-grower. Look to what happened in Lansing in the early 80's for what could kill you from a 'dealer'.

I'm allergic to pot and it puts me in a trance like state where it is very difficult to breathe for hours. The doctor in the ER told me to give it up so I did. But I think it should definitely be legalized. It's just a misdemeanor in Tennessee, unless you get caught with a large quantity. You have to pay a fine like a traffic ticket. That's quite an improvement, considering some people have spent years in prison for violations in the 60's and 70's.

well then we pay taxes on it then we can be forced to have government sticker on pot containers saying we bought it thru government if not we can be fined this was already thought of it is legal for glaucoma in cali.. i think it would be bad as taxes and government will make it bad although if it was legal we would have worse traffic jams and perhaps people like younger kids would not be so tempted to do the illegal thing but the government will make it bad it is a drug of herbs the most potent of all herbs and not for every ones mind u know some should not use it scary things happen..

All drugs should be legal. The Government should not dictate what anyone can or cannot do to their bodies. It should be none of their business. The amount which would be saved by not having a 'war in drugs' and the tax which could be raised from selling them would easily pay for any treatment anyone wanted.

Our American society has been fragmented with all of the social issues that are laid out before us. Abortion, health care, war, ecomonics, violence, anti smoking,. By legalizing marijuana, teh problems would really only be worse. Drnk drivers are already only given a slwp on teh wrist for viloating teh law. Now if a person gets into an accident, while high on marijuana, we are only making a bad scene worse.

LEGALIZE IT!
drinking kills how many per minute in america?
smoking/second hand smoking kills how many per minute?
they could tax the hell outta weed, and make a profit big enough to take care of the deficit W has inflicted on us.
LEGALIZE IT!
