Yes you can. There are more tests that can be done such as a thyroid uptake and ct scan. Thi sinvlves you swallowing a radioactive pill and go back a few hours to have the results read. There may be smal nodules on yoru thryoid. Also, when you get your tsh test done, are you fasting? If you are taking otc thyroid, stop at least a month before your next appointment.

Thyroid problems are not cure, you have to take the medicines lifelong, If you stop taking them the problem will reccur.
TSH tests come normal till you are on medicines.

a normal tsh indicates a normally functioning thyroid.
