First, a 1978 RR is not a vintage car.
A classic maybe, but not vintage.
Look at the link if you want to see a beauty vintage RR that is for sale.
They were handbuilt.
As such, this alone means it takes a mountain of money to maintain them.
RR does support every single car they ever made.
If something breaks it can take a long time and a lot of money to get the replacement from RR.
Properly maintained and pampered, a RR can last forever.
If you have the passion and the wallet, I say GO FOR IT!
Just go in with eyes open.
No matter what you get have fun with it.
My personal choice in old British cars is Triumph TR3 and TR4
Happy, driving and many safe miles.

any car is high maintenance but as far as investing in a vintage model car they hold really good high book value and doesnt depreciate very much therefore if its in good shape 20 years down the road your investment will be worth it
