What's the safest and decently priced way to send a package from Canada to the US? Purolator, FedEX, DHL, Canada Post Xpress...any complaints about any of the above companies?

I rely on FedEx more than anyother postal services coz they are lot faster ( at least 4 days ahead in delivery services) and very relaible too. They undertake the responsibility of the package's lost or stolen etc in the process of transaction, without any hesitation. They also provide not only the safest services but also go little extra mile to make sure that your package is delivered right there at the door step of the recipient.Whereas, Purolator or Canada Post, I found little lazy in these areas and they just leave a message of delivery in the mail box and don't really care about the customers' conveniences and also takes longer than you expected. Actually, too slow like a snail.Trust me, FedEx is the best and it's barely $5 to $6 difference compared to the others.

I ship stuff to my mom in Canada from California all the time. I always ship it by Priority Mail at the post office.
