I think eyeshadow applied up to the brow bone should be very light in color to make your eye appear bigger and the dark eyeshadow should be applied on the eyelid.

I wear a very light almost bronze shade to the brow bone. Then a darker color on the eye lid. The shade depends on your skin color. I have Italian olive skin so pretty much any light color works for the brow bone. But if you have pale skin you should be careful and test different colors to your skin. You dont want to look trashy.

Depends on the type of makeup I'm wearing. If its a gold, bronze, lighter, paler hue i'll blend it to the brow bone to give a more natural appearance. I'll never go right upto the eyebrow (its not the 80s)
Greens, blues, blacks, anything sharper than that i'll keep to the lids to give the appearance as a "lick" of colour. You dont want to over do it.

it depends, if there is a lot of space between you eyelid and brow bone, then just wear it on the lid, if there is little space go to the bone

Elicia is right. A light white or tan is good along the brow line. It is an accsent that will highlight your eyes. A darker shade that is different than your accsent should then be applied on your lid.

To the brow bone. Use multiple colors that accent your eyes.
