i know this is a tuff one, but if anyone out there can speak in their language (is it croatian the language they speak), how do you spell their names in english or croation. names like prso or srna; do you omit the r or just say it as it is written...

They say it as is it written, it's realy tough to explain!! Prso(Pršo) is Prsho, Simunic(Šimunič) is Shimunich, Suker(Šuker) is Shuker, but Srna is Srna...!!! It's like Shevchenko(Ševčenko) or Stoichkov(Stoičkov)!!!!! I think now you are more confused then before lol !!!!!

You spell a Croatian;s name the same as you would spell any name. There is no translation that applies to names. Not all Croatian people have Croatian names. Many have German and Austrian names. Generally, true Croatian names end in "ic", which you pronounce (ich). Croatian people speak many of the slavic languages because they are very similar. There are lots of Serbians who speak Croatian and vice versa. It is the dialect that determines where their origins lie.

Correct,the language is Croatian and is part of the Slavic group of languages like Russian or Polish.Prso is correct.The langage is phonetic,so pronounce every letter [purrsoe].Same goes for srna [srrnar].Those ending in ic the pronunciation is always [itch] which means of or from].Quite often these slavic names are mispelled in the premier league for example,just to make it easier for the fans and commentators.

most of croatian names have a ic at the end for e.g my last name is smolcic and you say it like small chick lol just an easyer way to say it lol.
