I've been unsuccessfull in getting help from Microsolft.

You should check the display settings. Perhaps it was switched to 16 colors, while it should be 16-bit or 32-bit colors. To look at your settings, go to you desktop, right-click, then choose Properties. From the tabbed window, choose Settings, and look at the are called "Color Quality". Change it to 16-bit or 32-bit, and click on Ok. You should now see photos in high quality, vivid color.

well that could be the web page its self, or it could be your monitor or the graphics processor, try fire fox, its far better then IE, and yes, you may be ready for an upgrade. Wait till vista hits, then all the older p4's with xp will be dirt cheep

i have a old version of Windows XP, and the pictures used to do that. you might want to get a different internet service. it helped me. i have SBC Yahoo!.

you should upgrade to xp service pack 2
