What should we do about Iran?

We now know that they will NOT stop enriching nuclear technolgy. So what do we do about that?

***sanctions?...that will piss them off more and will not get them to stop

***negotiate? if we give them what they want, then this sends a message to others countries to just start up nuclear programs to barder and get things you want.

***War/invasion?? We would need other U.N. countries to agree and go with us, or else we (the US) will have to do it alone....and we already see with Hezbollah what type of war it would be...it would be HELL...guerrilla warfare...plus IRAN has better missles, better army and airforce., while US is depleated in Iraq and Afghanistan.

*** or don't do anything. Maybe they are bluffing. Take a chance that they won't mastermind nukes...and if they do they will fail at it.

WHAT SHOULD WE DO???

First of all we should take them seriously !
Their leaders keep stating that they intend to destroy Israel and any western country who supports it, and they are doing every effort to achieve this goal.
Second, they will have a nuclear weapon. It's just a matter of time. The Russians supporting them and sell them the tech needed for nukes. So don't delude yourself that they won't achieve it.
I think we should put an ultimatum for their disarmament and otherwise we should destroy their reactors like Israel did to Iraq in 1981.

Don't forget that unlike U.S, europe, Israel and other democracies, this nation has a radical islamic totalitar regime. This means no one can control the actions of the neo-Hitler - Ahamadinajad.

Unfortunately uranium enrichment has become a prestige thing for the Iranians. There are reports that they have located gas centrifuges deep underground out of reach of conventional bombs. Iran is a large country and they probably judge rightly that the US and the rest of the world does not have the stomach for an invasion. Politics is the art of the possible and unless Iran goes too far with aggressive acts outside its border the rest of the world may just have to try to manage more potential danger and an Iranian bomb.

Why should we do anything? We have nuclear weapons and we don't take any notice when others say that we shouldn't so why should anyone take notice of us? Maybe we don't trust others with nuclear weapons but we are the only ones who have ever used them in a war. But is it up to us to decide who has and does not have nuclear weapons? China has them and so does Russia. India and Pakistan have them and many countries in Europe. I think it may be that we regard the Iranians as our enemies even though we may not say so and believe that they may use them against us or Israel. Maybe we should do like Madman Pastor Magee says and just launch pre-emptive nuclear strikes against Iran and end the World right now. Because as soon as you do that we are never, ever going to have peace again.

Just help the people overthrow the mullahs. Iran simply cannot develop nukes capable of doing any real damage to anyone - they do not have the wealth and technology. Developing nukes would just make them more of a target for a strike by countries with good armies, such as Isreal. Not that I like Isreal - I don't like those bullies. But Iran is not capable of being a serious threat.

Take away from Israel its nueclear weapons and Iran will immediately decease in its efforts to match the Israelis.I lived in the region for a number of years and all Israels neighbours are understandibly paranoid about being wiped off the face of the earth anytime Israel decides it doesn't like them.
