why do the english hype up their national football team and never win?

every time a bug tournament comes around the england team is hyped up and they talk about who they will be playing in the final but surprise surprise they never get anywhere

everyone likes to hype up their team. my team is argentina and im no different...ofcourse im going to say that they are the best and ofcourse im going to be upset when they lose. however, the difference is that i can acknowledge when my team has played poorly and i admit that argentina is not consistent. they can be great but sometimes they just suck.

the problem with english fans is that they refuse to believe that there are better teams in the world other than england (that kind of thought will always lead to disappointment). they cant admit that their team isnt the best and when england loses, all they can do is accuse the winning team of cheating.

also, because they won in 1966, english fans believe they have a good chance of winning again...but guess what, so does argentina, brasil, urugual, france, germany, and italy...keep in mind england only one once (as did france) while all the rest of these countries have 2 or more wins under their belt.

WRONG ... England normally reach the last 8 so deserve that respect . Scotland however struggle to make the last 80 thus the press cannot even be bothered with a team of no hopers.

Scottish football is awful.. English whilst not brilliant is amongst the the top ten teams worldwide .. just live with it mate it aint a big deal

1. Tickets 2. Jersey 3. Sweatshirt/Hoodie 4. Performance T-shirt 5. Hat Depending on how much $ you want to spend. Any of those things would be great. A girl that shows interest in not only his favorite team, but sports in general, is a keeper in my book. Make sure you get yourself something too with his favorite team logo. That will really set him off.

Team spirit can sometimes be more fun than the actual game. Here in Houston - the Texans fans know good and well we probably won't we a game...but it doesn't stop the crowd from having a blast of a time tailgating, showing our 'team pride' and having some good ol' fun.

And trash talking is always entertaining! (Even when you know you don't stand a chance at winning)

I take it you are of Scottish ancestry - well Scots are very proud of their country as are we English, and that is why we get behind our team - should we go into every competition saying "oh we are going to loose" ?- of course we frigging shouldn't. Go and buy yourself another "I am proud to be Scottish!" or "I am proud to be an Australian" tea mug, and then take the big chip off of your shoulder; I am sure you will feel better.

Oh and I remember seeing quite a few Australian fans posting on the World Cup page saying that Australia would win - and that's great, as they got in the spirit of the competition - you obviously lead a miserable life, only highlighted by hiding behind your computer posting questions to get a rise out of people.

Its because they hype up their team so much and just expect to be handed trophies on a plate. England can't face that they aren't the best at everything. They showed at the world cup that they are very average.
