A dated visa runs out on the date stated. Why not contact the irish Embassy.? You have nothing to lose?

I'm pretty sure you do lose those days. It's like a coupon--use it by the expiration date, or lose it completely. If you still want to spend the entire 3 months, I'd suggest contacting the place you got it from and getting a new one or an extension. It never hurts to ask!

Yes. You're Visa is only good for the dates printed on it.
Depending on your Nationality, it may be easy to change these, but it will probably require reapplying for the Visa.

visa time limits the time of entry, so you have till oct 13, but they might give you the 3 month visitor. in reality, you will have to leave ireland by oct 13.

This is where you should have planned better because yes you loose every day that goes by and you can't get it back. So you should have done a little bit better planning.
