Part two lacked in just about every aspect. There were numerous plots that were muddled together but never advanced throughout the 2 1/2 hours.
Character development was TERRIBLE. Elizabeth was a novice fighter at best, in part one. And (maybe) a year later, she's capable of defeating men and DJ crewmen that have spent years, if not most of their lives, training with swords? Get real. She also didn't like Jack a lot at the end of part one, she didn't want him hanged because it wasn't "the right thing" to do. For her to just jump in and start showing interest in Jack at the beginning of part two was stupid beyond belief (WHAT was the purpose of her insisting Beckett call him "Captain"? I had the love triangle thing all figured out right then and there, it was painfully obvious, they were going to add all that crap in)
Did the writers just give up and go to a fanfiction site and steal some 14 year old fangirl's fantasy story? Come on! The writing was beyond disappointing.
Jack just wasn't very funny, though most of that was due to the fact that they didn't leave him the quirky, sneaky character he was in part one, that still showed signes of having a conscious (a pirate but a good man, as the theme had been) They turned him into a bad guy, making him coniving and almost heartless. It's hard to find him funny when he seems like a different character completely.
The only really funny lines were just throw backs to the first movie anyway...

I was somewhat disappointed. I thought Captain Jacks character was more developed in the first movie, and he almost seemed like he was just "thrown in". The special effects were great, however. As good or maybe better than the first. I still can't wait for the third installment. Some friends and myself are putting on a Pirate Show called the Pirates of Camarillo for Halloween. It is a live interactive haunted house.

YES i thought it was slow there were a couple of funny parts but it wasn't that great! It was all over the place and boring and they were always on the boat and i know its a pirate movie but it gave me a headache and you know that their is going to be a second one so now we have to wait another 2 years for the 3rd one to come out. And also it ended with Will and Elizabeth mad at each other because he saw her kissing jack!!! So yea i totally agree!

No chance....the movie is thoroughly enjoyable especially our dear Johnny Depp....who has at last made his mark of his potential talent. No wonder the movie is grossing millions and millions all over the world.....How come you get disappointed with the movie...? You should have been more specific about your question, about why did you disappoint with Pirates.

would desire to declare, I felt an identical way. I certainly have Direct television which seems after solid little bit of what the Xbox One does and that i'm already pleased with it, and to be truthful i do no longer care in any respect with reference to the NFL or the Halo television sequence, they are only no longer in the area of my hobbies. MS themselves reminded watchers of the stay circulate on XBL that they are going to instruct lots greater at E3, yet as a gamer i think of it became demanding to no longer be disillusioned with the completed loss of stay demo-ing of gameplay and extremely small volume of the presentation that became committed to gaming. in case you evaluate MS and Sony's first nicely-knownshows, Sony made a factor of showing how that they had reached out to builders and have been committed to permitting them make the wonderful video games possible for the equipment. They spent a procedures, lots greater time (in a convention that became two times as long) speaking approximately how gaming became the main majorpersistent at the back of their next gen equipment. MS became casting a lots, lots wider internet of their convention, and it is often slightly stressful while the element you so strongly affiliate which contain your gaming is getting all this interest for the different issues it does, and you as a gamer sense like MS is already in accordance with you being offered, looking previous you as in case you're invisible to that phantom "new client" they are pitching to.

It was ruined for me.
First of all, there were about 2000 kids in the theater, who would laugh at anything. "OMG a monkey! Let's all laugh!!!!" Ugh.... Second, it went on forever with ridiculous fight/action sequences. The whole wheel-rolling-down-the mountain-side thing, the people-trapped-in-a ball-with-a-midget, just ridiculous. And lastly, they tried to make Jack Sparrow seem like a bad guy, but then tried to make you laugh anytime he opened his mouth. Obviously they are trying for the "like-able" bad guy, but it went overboard. You can't get into the story, because you are supposed to hate Jack.
All in all it was way too child oriented. The first one was good no matter your age, but this one lost all of its intelligence and dragged on for way too long.

I loved it, my boyfriend was dissapointed...he thought that is was too scattered, a lot of the stuff wasn't explained. But I'm a sucker for most movies and I pretty much like anything unless they're HORRIBLE.
